As well as the current ‘Open’ courses, there are literally hundreds of world class and historic golf courses throughout Scotland. Although primarily famous for links golf, there are many classic inland courses available to play on as well.
In these times when new golf courses are ‘engineered’, involving the shifting of sometimes millions of tons of earth, an entirely different experience is had playing on courses where the layout has been determined largely by nature and thousands of years of our famous weather!
